Who are we?

We are a group of citizens from municipal, civic, business, and environmental groups who have come together to improve the aesthetics of Titusville. We are dedicated to enhancing enhancing our community in a manner that is both environmentally and aesthetically pleasing, and that provides hands-on opportunities for involvement of individuals and families in all parts of the city.

In pursuit of enhancement of the visual aesthetics, curb appeal, of our community, it is the mission of T.E.A.M. Titusville to bring about awareness of the environmental and economic benefits of beautification, through active, ongoing citizen participation in hands-on beautification projects.

We propose action in the following areas: Litter control, landscaping, eradication of invasive non-native plant species, graffiti abatement, and code enforcement.

• Develop litter cleanup projects in areas of our community where litter has been allowed to accumulate, and a blighted landscape exists.
• Create partnerships for litter reduction projects so that a pool of volunteers can be established.
• Assure that all cleanup activities follow safety guidelines provided by Keep Brevard Beautiful, Inc.
• Advertise and support the Litter Hot Line
• Offer Litter Prevention literature to businesses and property owners who need to be aware of the sources of litter and the problems associated with it.
• Motivate our community to "adopt" roads and/or shorelines to assist with litter control through the Titusville Adopt-A-Road Program, Adopt-A-Shore or Adopt-A-Road programs of Keep Brevard Beautiful, Inc.

• Develop landscaping beautification projects, which include environmentally sound landscaping plans.
• Assure that landscaping projects are designed to be within the property owners
• ability to maintain all aspects of them
• Support Titusville as a Tree City.
• Create partnerships for landscaping projects so that a pool of volunteers can be established.
• Offer Adopt-A-Spot program for the purpose of maintaining public property in a manner that indicates care and pride
• Educate our community in pruning techniques, which improve the health, appearance and length of life of trees planted in public areas.

• Develop eradication projects on public lands where non-native plants have crowded out native species.
• Acquire all permits required for shoreline projects where non-native plant species have undermined the shoreline habitat.
• Comply with shoreline reconstruction plans of property owner.
• Recruit and train volunteers in the safe eradication methods.
• Create partnerships for eradication projects so that a pool of volunteers can be developed.
• Educate private property owners on proper, safe techniques for non-native invasive plant eradication.

• Identify areas in need of graffiti abatement.
• Develop projects that address unsightly graffiti on public buildings and structures.
• Conduct Graffiti Hurts" workshops to educate concerned citizen:; about graffiti abatement invite members of the neighborhood in which graffiti is a problem to participate in graffiti abatement projects.
• Follow up graffiti abatement projects with police patrols for the purpose of graffiti prevention.
• Provide "Graffiti Hurts" educational materials to interested groups.
