| > A.I.R.S. | Building Department - Inspections A Building Permit is valid for one year from the date of issuance, provided work is started and inspected within six (6) months from issuance date. The Permit must be posted so it is visible from the street prior to commencing any work on the site. Required Inspections are noted on the Permit Inspection Job Card with an area for the Inspector to note a passed or failed inspection. All inspections must be requested at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance. The work must pass inspection, and the Inspector must sign the job card before work can continue. A failed inspection must be re-inspected after corrective measures have been taken and before the failed area is covered with additional building materials. |
