This Committee's Mission Statement is "To keep the American Flags flying on the Avenue of Flags, to promote patriotism, and to sponsor City patriotic events." The committee is comprised of representatives from veterans and civic organizations who share the same patriotic values. The Committee sponsors the annual Astronaut Memorial Committee on January 28 and the Flag Day Ceremony on June 14. The Committee also has an annual fundraiser for the Avenue of Flags. The money is used to keep the American Flags flying on U.S. Highway One from State Road 50 to Parrish Medical Center.
