Mission

The City Clerk's Office is the "information" source" for the citizens of Titusville as well as the department within our municipal organization. Within the scope of this vision, the Clerk's Department performs three vital functions.

The three distinct functions of the City Clerk's Department are:
  • Administer Legislative Process
  • Facilitate Public Participation In Governmental Processes
  • Protect and Manage the Public Record

Highlights

  • Conducts municipal elections
  • Prepares council agendas, minutes, and agenda packets
  • Prepares minutes for Community Redevelopment Agency
  • Attests official documents
  • Oversees appointments to city board and commissions
  • Provides liaison services to Flag & Memorial Committee, Student Advisory Council, Unity Award Select Committee, and temporary board as needed
  • Oversees codification of ordinances
  • Acts as official records custodian for the City of Titusville
  • Responds to public record requests
  • Provides research assistance for city departments
  • Provides legal advertising as required by Code of Ordinances and Florida Statutes
  • Processes zoning related applications
  • Processes documents for recordation on Public Record of Brevard County, including subdivision plats
  • Administers agreements to water service outside the City limits
  • Coordinates posting of information to City's Web site
  • Provides receptionist services
  • Provides notary services
  • Provides mail and courier services
