Financial Accounting & Reporting Activity

Purpose:

The Financial Accounting and Reporting Activity is responsible for the official books and records of the City; preparation of Comprehensive Annual Financial Report; preparation of all statutory accounting reports; city-wide financial accounting services on fund grants, capital projects, special revenue and enterprise accounting; general ledger accounting and reporting; chart of accounts; and specific departmental accounting services.

FY 2002-2003 GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

  • Publish financial documents including the Annual Operation and Capital Budgets, the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report and the State of Florida Comptroller’s reports.
  • Implement GASB 34
  • Conduct comprehensive infrastructure fixed asset inventory in preparation for GASB 34 implementation
  • Continuously update the emergency management disaster record keeping manual for FEMA and DCA changes.
