Fire & Emergency Services - Divisions

Administration Division:

The Administration Division is comprised of the Fire Chief, his Administrative Assistant who supervise the remaining clerical support personnel within the division and department, citizen office volunteers, and the volunteer Fire Chaplain.

Divisional activities include providing executive leadership, direction and future planning of overall department functions, administrative oversight of the department's budget, and clerical support functions for the department. The Fire Chaplain interfaces with department employees and our citizens, assisting and supporting department operations and the needs of our community.

Operations Division:

The Operations Division staff personnel include the Operations Chief, a Training/EMS Chief, and a Support Operations Chief. Our shift personnel include; three Battalion Commanders, 12 Lieutenants, nine Lieutenants, 15 Driver/Operators, 17 Firefighter/Paramedics and four Firefighter/EMT's.

Divisional activities include providing emergency services to our community and supporting these services through proper skills training and resource management. Emergency services provided to the community include responding to fires of all types, medical calls, motor vehicle crashes, hazardous materials calls, service calls and more. To maintain these services our personnel are provided with quality training and the necessary resources to ensure a high level of professionalism in an efficient and effective manner.

Prevention Division:

The Prevention Division is comprised of the Fire Marshal, a Public Education Life Safety Specialist, and a Fire Inspector.

Divisional responsibilities include fire prevention/code enforcement and public education activities to our community. Fire prevention/code enforcement activities include providing plans review for life safety issues for new construction, fire inspections of new and existing businesses and performing inspection and tests of new fire protection systems. Public Education activities include station tours, fire safety information, engine displays, child safety seat inspections, injury prevention and safety lectures. We also provide classes to the community, which include CPR, First Aid, Citizen's Fire Academy Certification and Child safety seats.
