Fire Prevention:

The Fire Marshal's Office coordinates a number of activities related to fire prevention. These services include the investigation of fires, preliminary license inspections, annual business inspections, and fire protection systems testing. In addition, the Fire Marshal coordinates the juvenile firesetter intervention program.

Public Education:

As part of our effort to educate the community and reduce the incident of injuries to our citizens, our Public Education Task Force provides numerous training classes for adults as well as children:

Fire Safety - for pre-school and school aged children

Fire Safety- for adults and senior citizens.

Emergency Awareness and Preparation- This program highlights strategies to prepare citizens for the threat of a hurricane on our community. Pre-storm checklists, personal safety, evacuation/sheltering and post storm activities are covered. Emergency Management of natural as well as man made disasters are discussed.

Water Safety: covers swimming, boating & general water safety training. Fire Extinguisher Training- Offered primarily to members of the business community and healthcare facilities, this program provides both classroom and hands-on training.

Child Restraint Seat Safety- Classes for citizens to learn the proper placement of car seats offered monthly.

Occupant Protection Safety - Classes for children & adults on use of helmets, seat belts & protection equipment.

Additional Services- Titusville Fire and Emergency Services offers station tours, apparatus displays, and a speakers bureau.
