| The Community Development Block
Grant (CDBG) program provides annual formula grants to develop
viable urban communities by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment,
and by expanding economic opportunities, principally for low- and moderate-income persons.

The HOME Investment Partnerships
(HOME) program provides annual formula grants that communities use-often
in partnership with local nonprofit groups-to fund a wide range of activities that build,
buy, and/or rehabilitate affordable housing for rent or homeownership or provide direct
rental assistance to low- and moderate- income persons.

The State Housing Initiatives
Partnerships (SHIP) Program is funded by the Florida Housing
Finance Corporation. The SHIP Program provides funds to local governments as an incentive
to create partnerships to produce and preserve affordable housing with at least 65% of the
