| Water Resources - Water Production Mission
Water Production Team is responsible for providing a
consistently safe and high quality of potable water to the people of Titusville. We are
responsible for insuring compliance with all federal, state and local regulations
regarding the safeguarding of the publics health.
Goals and Objectives:
Provide potable water to the service area
- Maintain all treatment facilities to ensure system redundancy
- Maintain electrical generators for emergency use in providing
potable water
- Continue to update and implement new Standard Operating
Procedures
- Manage redesign/optimization project for Cocoa Interconnect
Control Future Cost of Service
- Optimize chemical dosing to not exceed $.09/1000 gallons
treated
- Evaluate and provide recommendations on an in-house generator
maintenance program
Meet all D.E.P. / E.P.A. drinking water standards
- Maintain daily operational reports, and data as required by
state and federal agencies
- Preventing any water quality violations
- Produce and publish annual report on water quality (CCR)
- Complete potable water recirculation project
Maintain and manage the Citys Raw Water Supply
- Complete Parkland Wetlands and place wells on line
- Implement better Wellfield and aquifer management
- Train maintenance staff in proper Wellfield rehabilitation
techniques
- Select and Rehabilitate 8 wells utilizing new techniques for
maximum pumpage potential/safe yields
Replace or Upgrade Failing Equipment
- Recoat 10 MG solids contact unit and place in service
- Install power connections for filter valves
- Replace all filter valves to be SCADA compatible
