Alex, please accept the congratulations of be selected as Fire and Emergency Services Employee of the Month for February 2004 & as City Employee of the Month for March 2004. The nomination received from one of your peers noted that since you have arrived you have had your plate full. The nomination further noted that being nominated for employee of the month is an understatement for the job you have done.

You tackled our EMS and training position and brought it up to speed to where it needs to be. You managed to coordinate a driver-operator class that was conducted in house and all of the personnel who had taken the class were very appreciative of the time that was spent in putting this training together.

You solicited a new medical director, continual medical training, and provided in-house solo testing for our paramedics. These and other things allowed all of our stations to become advanced life support, providing the quality of enhanced care we have been striving for. You also served as our department’s representative on the countywide EMS Advisory Committee, representing our department’s commitment towards providing the best medical service to our community. You ensure that our department and personnel are kept informed of any changes and potential changes in State requirements.

Alex, last but surely not least, you tackled our new computerized reporting system. FIREHOUSE was brought on-line January 1st and, despite all the little bugs that had to be worked out, you made yourself available to all personnel 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to trouble-shoot any questions.
